I bought a 96 900RR over the summer and am now going through all of it and street fightering it. It came with a Vance & Hines Power Pak Programable Ignition System and my local shop told me those were junk and to get a stock one to put back on. Is this true? and if so what yr Ignition boxes can I get for it? Thanks in advance.

 

uhm im its a 96 900rr then my first guess would be to get a 96 900rr ignition box.

 

Hey thanks! Never would of thought of that on my own! I was looking more for like a box off of a 93-97 will work with the 96 engine setup, but hey with your knowledge I'm sound as a pound.

definatly take that thing and smash it with the biggest hammer you have.
Make sure you get a 96 97 CDI box if you use an earlier one the bike will run but the timing will be off

 

Ok so anyone got a stock one laying around?
