How do you know when it's graduation day?
Hey Onewheelers!!
My wheelie has fianally graduated to the point where I can hold it all day as long as my arms could hack it. Scraping the tail, slow ups and low rpm superslow 1/4 mile wheelies are all in the arsanal but I think it's time to change up my style a little.
Surprisingly I'm finding myself doing a lot more distance (slow) than I thought I was ever capable of, but I must say that I must be getting old or something because my arms hurt like hell when I hold wheelies for too long!!
Therefore I'm thinking of switching to parking-lot riding where long wheelies don't count but circles do.
Any advice for an old
.
What I need to know is weather or not it's graduation time. Or rather, is there any rule of thumb as to when, or what level a "Onewheeler" should be at before attempting a stunt like circles. For example, I would'nt tell someone to try "scraping" before learning bp wheelies and beyond bp wheelies!!

Re: How do you know when it's graduation day?
Sounds like all there is to do is get out and break some **** (bike that is)
Circles are said to be one of the hardest tricks to learn, so expect to drop the bike alot and get frustrated thinkin your never goin to get them. But it sounds like your ready to give them a shot. I dont do circles, just read alot about them just be prepared to get your *** kicked over and over haha.
Good luck, dont be afraid to use the clutch and throttle.

you need to be able to ride a wheelie on the idle first...no handers, or at least no throttle hands.
then, just practice!
good luck, sounds like you are killing it!

Re: How do you know when it's graduation day?
Hey thanks everyone.
But one more question, since I'm on a trail, what whould be my idle rpm setting? Once again my stunt bike is a Yamaha xt600 dualsport, it's idle is factory set at about 1100 rpms. I'm thinking another thousand should do the trick!
Maybe I'll go out and try a little thing later tonight!!
