so my battleax went out on my gixxer 1000 and the only other tire around was a michelin pilot race m2 (dont have money for a new one right now). the question i have is the tire is a 180 and my old one was a 190. is there much of a difference?

 

I've heard from a few people that runnin a race tire on the back is not the greatest, never tried it personally, just been told...Think they were mostly referring to slow stuff,circles etc.

 

But if your asking about it fitting, yes it will....I run both 190's and 180's, not really much preference to either, 180's will turn a little better

 

oh ya it fits cause its already on there b4 i made the post but yeah i could see it not being too good for slow stuff but im only rocking highway stuff right now anyway. I hardly use my top end but when i do i saw the tire is only rated for 167 mph WHICH IS WAY TOOOOO SLOW FOR ME i just heard that 190s are more stable for highway wheelies

 

works good unless tire is wore all on one side,makes your wheelies want to vere to one side

 

a 180 will turn a lot faster especially if its a race tire....the profile is way differant.......i not really like 190's.......and i dont like michellin race compounds ......they warm up slow and if the are gonna give they dont give you any warning.....they just let got and the next thing you knnow your on the ground....
