929 1st gear slips at 5k rpm, other gears fine

Hey guys i have a 929, all the gears work great except for 1st which slips into neutral at about 5,000 rpms? anyone know what my problem might be? how to fix it?

happend to my 954 also. . . seems only when i was workin the bike really hard on a hot day. . . i changed my oil, dont use sythetic cause i guess it can cause slipping. havent had the problem in a while

if it is kicking out of gear there is a posibility that you have a bent shift fork. or it could be as simple as your shift linkage is not adjusted properly. if the bike gets to 5k rpm and it revs out but the bike doesn't go any faster, but when you let off the gas and ease back into it and it pulls with no clunking noise then it is your clutch slipping. But if there is a clunking noise then most likely it is an internal problem (bent shift fork). good luck and I hope this helps you out.
