Re: How To Circle Wheelie
WHOOOOLA! It's ****ing snow outside, but my boy hooked us up with a roofed and pretty empty parking lot of some shopping center and we had few hours of practice, and I just got 360, but bailed out after that unfortunately. Till now I could turn it 180 sometimes and bail out. After a good guideance session of a one circle pimp I think I finnaly figured it out!!! The thing is to slip the clutch and work the throttle every 1/4 of a circle. I'm currently rockin' borrowed 900rr, but man I whish I have my old 636, it's so much easier with it. Didn't know to appreciate 636 "the circle machine" when I had it...

Re: How To Circle Wheelie
Ok, few other things that helped me...when doin it staggered (as I always do) strech your inner leg (left) and lock it. Then you have the feeling like your leg is an axis on which you turn around. Much more control this way. Also when entering circle I pull the bike to the left (toward the circle direction) and throw my body to the right putting more preassure to rear left peg. This way I can do more narrow diameter circle. If I don't pull it in and throw my body out I'm more like steering than doing circle. I also figured out that staying on the RB when entering circle will make smaller diameter circles - tighter ones. If I enter it without using the brake it goes a little too fast and widenes the diameter of a circle and I get the feel that the rear wheel will run away under me. And if I don't work on throttle/clutch I always stall out! This **** is heavy to learn...too much things to think about...

up here in ohio we only got 2 days to ride so far.
but i worked on em for these 2 days...
but i need more gearing for one.
and i waned to know how high the idle was for u guys..
i tried a couple diff. idle settings and it seems a lil better up a lil higher .
cant wait till summer.

Re: How To Circle Wheelie
I think when the weather clears I will be going back to circle attempts on the rear peg..I can go right with BIG circles all day long but my foot is in the subframe and I am steering the bike and not letting it fall in at all.
Its also hard as hell to get the bike to move left that way..
But the upside is zero arm pump..
Nutha month and we should be full speed ahead.
Hey J, we should be coming down this year for StuntFest again but would like to come down Thurs and maybe hookup with guys for a friday stunt session..
I'll keep you posted man..
later

Re: How To Circle Wheelie
circles suck, my body hurts.
first day out trying em and I got 3/4 but that's about it. I've got tonnes of work to do I guess. My front end kept dipping down andp utting it around at 1/2.
and highsiding them sucks.

and what's highsiding? is it when rear wheel runs away from you (under you) and bike falls to inner side of circle?

Re: How To Circle Wheelie
ok, from what i have been learnin, you need to stand up more straight and be parallel with the bike, so that way your weight is on your feet and not your arms, i am just learning to rock with my foot in the subframe. but it looks like you need to pull yourself in closer to the bike. just get it to the point where the bike feels really light and you can move it around alot.
