I just want some tips on spreaders. I havent tried em yet but next time im out i might. Mostly stock on my bike and I am a big guy. 2nd gear sit downs are no problem for me. But idk if my bike would come up for a spreader....
Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

cmon now you guys act like no one does spreaders with out a hand brake , i learned spreaders , seat standers and highchairs with no hand brake

 

+1 and jump from ss, to spreader.. Not that they were that great though. and on -2 front, stock rear gearing..

 

i learned spreaders with no hb and no tank dent... i also almost died on the highway when i slid of my tank lol. dent your tank atleast bro, and that bike will come up with stock gears in 2nd with your big hiney on the tank but it wont do it easily. i learned on an 03 r6 being only 155lbs and i had to work to get that **** up with me on the tank in 2nd. first gear is where its at.

 

Im currently learning spreaders and high chairs with no HB. Baby steps.

 

I've busted out a few spreaders with no HB, but I slid out of my dent doing one and almost looped. I've never thought I was going over except for that one. Haven't tried since, but can't wait to get a HB so I can do them again! They're just so sick

 

I have the same problem. Everytime I get to BP I start to slide out of the dent.

 

it just sounds like he is not going to use the clutch but power them up. i also learned before i had a hb on a 929

and people even told me "you aren't ready for tank tricks, don't dent your tank" the DAY I dented my tank I was going out rocking hc's/spreaders for a few blocks



I saw **** 2nd gear highway for learning spreaders though, learn that **** in a parking lot in 1st gear where you have tons of engine brake, and your not going 70mph if you crash

My spreaders looked like irish mike without a hand brake, only way I could hold them at balance point was when I was screaming near redline lol

+1, nothin like barely holding balance point and attempting combo's without a hand brake haha, stock gearing for me though for the first year

 

the faster you go the more engine brake you have and engine brake is good when you dont have a hand brake ..lol

 

id think its pretty safe to say a lot of us learned spreaders, HC, SS with no hand brake. i didnt even know what a hand brake was back then.

OP- use 1st gear so that engine brake will help you not die. dent your tank if youre gonna start playing with spreaders and high chairs.
