Re: what gear to wheelie

No I'm slammin the Sub frame and draggin for a few feet and it just lays over or flips back. I no longer have a tail light or even fender eliminator anymore because of it. I've already replaced every single piece of plastic on this bike and it's not even a year old. I just can't figure out the balance point and where I should keep the RPMs at to keep it from draggin ***.

im 60t rear and stock front...i use 2 be scared to clutch up in 1st but when i realized i wasnt gettin anywhere in 2nd gear then i went to 1st...all you have to do is get use to it...it took me a whole day to get use to that big *** sprocket and im higher up in the gears then you are...so if you gon be scared to clutch up in 1st then you mind as well hang it up like jordan

What I meant is I get the bike completely vertical and the *** slams the ground and drags. I no longer have any plastic on the back of my bike.

I had a GSX-R 750 and I clutched it up in first or second. This new R1 is way different than the 750 though. Anyone got any ideas?
If you 12 o clock a bike and don't hit the brake, it's not gonna come back down. It'll come down after you're on the ground.

you wanna slip the clutch, not necessarily dump the clutch.

Easiest way is to come to a complete stop... let off the brake, roll the throttle and slip the clutch all in one motion...

if your doing it exactly how your saying it then yeah, prolly gonna loop it.

Chances are your body positioning isnt right and the tire is spinning or something, one day it's gonna hook and lights out

Are you bouncing it up at all, or moving your body at all when you clutch it up? Shouldnt need 10K RPM's

+1- I hope it doesnt hook dude cause thats a slam waiting to happen

On my 08 Im 5up in the rear and -1 up front. Normally with the idle at stock used to come to a stop, clutch it, and kinda bounce it up. Then i would catch it with the rear brake and slow it down. It tooook alot of practice to slow them down. Now i run Idle at 3300-3600rpm and let it rip.

Practice man... Work on covering your brake and getting used to the throttle is all i can say Seat time really is the cure
