sick innovations cage on 08cbr600rr

Sick innovations cage just came in. Went to install it and it seems that some of the bolts are too big and will not go into the tubeing of the cage to meet the threads. id call sick innovations but its after hours. it came with 2 bolts with nuts, a smaller bolt, and a long *** bolt that i take goes through the bottom. And I also take it, that 2 of the original bolts that go through were you have to cut through go back in, there too big tho. any help would be great.

Re: sick innovations cage on 08cbr600rr

i figured it out but the longer bolt goes through the middle of the frame, just over the rear seats. it wont fit should i take a little dremel and make it bigger?

That cage is gangstalicious!!!!! Sick innovations makes cages not bolts..... My cage has hit many times on the left side and it's still running strong! Don't use the plastic sliders though buy the aluminum they're worth it

Re: sick innovations cage on 08cbr600rr

alright so i just got done putting throwing on my round bar, it has 4 holes for bolts to go in. 1 on the left, another on the right, and 2 in the middle.

did you guys use 4 bolts? cause im just using my stock bolts

i bolted one on the left
another on the right
and one in the middle right.

total of 3 stock bolts, you guys think i should have bolted the middle left too?

just curious to see how you guys did it.

you guys think thats ok?

Re: sick innovations cage on 08cbr600rr

how in the **** do you take off that 11/16 stock bolt where the sick cage needs to be bolted on?! i even tried using my own weight to jump on the wrench but it wont budge, not even a tiny bit.

Re: sick innovations cage on 08cbr600rr

SI doesn't powdercoat the cages, they outsource that. And I probably wouldn't use the stock bolts if I could avoid it, just because they might not be tough enough to take any kind of impact.

that rb is a mothabitch on our bike I think I had to put the center bolt in first though, it would make since because that's going to be the first section of your subframe that breaks off once you scrap it lol

be careful with that bolt don't stand on it!!! What kind of wrench are you using get the biggest one you have and try puttin a pipe on the end be extremely careful ez outs are cool an all but you dot want to use them haha
