Re: new at wheelies need help asap
that's not an update, that's you getting lucky.
ALWAYS use the clutch
ALWAYS cover the rear brake
two simple rules if you wanna keep your 2008 ZX6R looking like you got it, otherwise it's going to look like a flaming pile of a ****, and cost you way more money just to get it back to mint. and you ask yourself, do you want that? didn't think so.
2nd gear. left foot back on passenger peg (staggered) and right foot on brake.... lean forward and compress the forks, go like 4K down the road then pull in clutch, rev engine up to say 8K and drop it at the same time yank up.... when it comes too far back or feels like it, just apply rear brake. You'll either get it or you'll loop, and die.
Don't die.
PS - good luck.

Re: new at wheelies need help asap
definatly not doing something right.... granted i don't look down at the tach anymore but i am for sure clutching it up at a lot lower rpm than that in first gear. oh yeah i live at a higher elevation to 6,200 ft above sea level. and on a 07 zx6r.....
our bikes don't have very good low end and are high reving and were designed for the track too. but it will still wheelie just fine

Re: new at wheelies need help asap
NO.
A power wheelie might feel smooth at first, but **** hits the fan FAST. A clutch wheelie is kind of abrupt but it is much more easily controlled.
DO NOT START A BAD HABIT OF POWER WHEELIES.
