I believe on the gsxr the tip sensor is under the seat towards the back of the bike.

Heres a free service manual. Download it and locate the tip over sensor.

I like the fact that my bike shuts off when I crash.

Re: need help! to find cut off sensor!

page 4-82 tos is located ahead of the rear fender. remove the front seat and the tos is there.

Re: need help! to find cut off sensor!

the sensor has a metal plate with 4 screws, if I recall, Tip sensor is a ring on a loop. use something to prevent the ring from moving and you should be fine. . I filled mine with silicone and it has worked for years.

Re: need help! to find cut off sensor!

you wanna disable your tos so the bike doesnt shut off on you mid wheelie. has nothing to do with shutting off when you crash. you disable it so you dont crash because of it good luck.

Re: need help! to find cut off sensor!

I have never had my bike shut off mid wheelie. Maybe its because I ride a 636, but my bike only shuts off after laying on the cage for 4-5 seconds.

I never had a prob. but recently my bike was dying out but not complety shutting off while in a wheelie could that be my tip over sensor causing the prob?

You said the problem is with your bike shuting off when you drop it. I just fail to see how thats a problem.

Now if it was shutting off on you mid wheelie then I would disable it, but until then mine is staying the way it is.

Agreed, mine never shut off on me mid wheelie when I didnt have it disabled but Id rather have the piece of mind knowing that it wont happen by connecting 2 wires. If and when it does decide to shut off on you its gonna be mid wheelie at the worst possible time and Id like to avoid that by any means necessary lol

Most people prefer it to be disabled and IMO if youre going to be doing a lot of wheelies, its safer to disable it
