Help To Start Without A Key

I just picked up a 2005 ZX6R from an auction and it didn't come with any keys. I am in the process of purchasing a keyset, but in the meantime I would like to start it up and see that everything works. Can someone tell me how to start it by "hotwiring" it without cutting any wires? I know on cars you can get behind the key lock cylinder and turn the mechanism the key turns in order to start it. Is that possible on bikes?

Re: Help To Start Without A Key

I wouldnt recommend attempting it if you have another key set coming. All means end with cutting a wire somewhere.

I have a full keyset from my '04 636; Will that work? I think the rear seat release may be different, but will the ignition and gas cap work?

I didn't know they could do that; If that works I'm definitely doing that since I won't have to change the gas cap or trunk key
