Re: trying to catch idle

i keep mine at 2.5 or 3 and the slower i clutch it up from the easier it is to keep it at slow speed.. I have a 55 tooth sprocket. f4i, but i kinda want to put a 60 on it though

higher idle still allows you to go slow speed

it just gives you extra power, so if your front wheel drops, you have more power to bring it up

I like around 3.2-3.4 for everything with 60t rear

I used to run around 2.5k with stock gearing

Re: trying to catch idle

I know what your saying about being in neutral or first.. when my bike is in gear and the clutchpulled say I set it at 3300 when I pop it into neutral its gonna jump to around 4000.. With my stock gearing I set it at 3300 with the bike in neutral. My stunt peice is my daily rider so I got stock gearing and 35 psi in the rear.. this is a stock bike and im no pro.. about 10 months stunt riding. this is a vid I made few weeks back.

Kick your idle up even higher

when you are first learning, its hard to not mash the brake too hard.. but once you get good enough on the brake, you will be able to idle at 2k rpm just fine.

Idle without sprockets is no problem, I rocked idle on stock gearing for a little over a year before I ever got sprockets

just keep workiin on it!
