F4i Vortex clip-ons Help

Putting on Vortex clip-ons but having trouble remounting throttle tube and housing. When i go to tighten it to the clip-ons, it seperates instead of closing together around the handlerbar. Any idea why this is? Its like vortex handlebar is bigger than 7/8 but i'm sure it's not. Also on the clutch side a moose is being put on but noticed electrical wire running to stock clutch housing. do you guys just cut this off when putting on moose perch? what is it?

Re: F4i Vortex clip-ons Help

There is a little nub thats on the inside of the throttle housing. If there isn't a small hole on the clip for the nub to fit into then it will rise like your talking about. I just use a drimil to grind the nub off.
Or you can drill your own hole in the clip on if you want to.

I just let the wire to the clutch hang on my 07. I think I cut it off on the 04, or it was already removed when I got it.

Re: F4i Vortex clip-ons Help

i would drill a whole in the bar for the nub, it will keep your throttle housing from moving
