endos !Help!
Re: endos !Help!
there is a balance point for stoppies just like wheelies...there is a point where you can let off the front brake a little bit....only thing is unlike a wheelie you cannot catch your self from going too far....you will find a point where you feel like your floating then just a hair past that is flip the stoppy point....just go practice and slowly give it more brake and your rear tire will get higher....if you are still slowing down ALOT then you are a long way from bp....
Re: endos !Help!
Someone earlier said steel braided lines for the front......I don't think this is a good idea until i started rolling over 180' cuz it's straight pressure and not any play in the pressure. This is what i think. Start off doing the pop a stoppie with no roll, and right at the end learn to hold it high then come down, this will get rid of your fear of the height, and then slowly work your way up the speed.....once you start rolling them at all, you have to learn how to get it up quick so the rear doesn't move out from under you, learning this step is CRUCIAL to longer stoppies. Even though the bike comes up quick there is never a need to stab the brake.......just squeeze it hard and quick....it's like the difference in pullin a trigger and squeezing it.
Re: endos !Help!
like everyone said start baby steps i havent perfected them myself i only started stunting recently and im better with endos and stupid things like skien or hoppin up on the tank **** like that .. but with me i learned with some guys and they taught me in baby steps by liftin the rear tire slowly higher n higher til i could get it above the roof of a car.. if i know im going to do an endo i will ride the front brake a lil to warm it up and make it grab better then its all brake control from there i started out around 20mph and worked my way to 50 by the end of theday
Re: endos !Help!
do it like this: squid stoppies
just kidding...nice.
Re: endos !Help!
I first learned on a mountain bike, just drawing chalk lines on the ground every time i beat my record. I started slow just getting a feel for the BP then worked my way to faster speeds.
Re: endos !Help!
This is probably a stupid question but I was talking to one of my friends and he was talking about some sort of regulator that goes into your brake line that doesn't let all kinds of pressure through the line so it lets you set how much compression you want to bring the rear up but its kind of like a safety thing that wont let you flip over. Anyone heard of anything like this? I tried to do some research but couldn't find anything.

jp lol I have never heard of anything like that. Just go off everyones advice, they are giving you the right steps to learn, and theres no easy way to get around learning.
Re: endos !Help!
I am still in the baby steps of endos, and after practicing today... have come to find that getting it up to or around the BP is the biggest thing. First... it is scary... so I am getting past my fear after a nice tank slapper a couple weeks ago. Second... I have definitely noticed that when I don't get it up fast enough that the back end starts to want to go different ways. Keep practicing, and hopefully we learn together.
Along the same note.... I tank slapped at 50 or so due to my GPR being bad. I just got it fixed. Now, if it is set at 5 or 6 on the V1, should I worry about tank slappers anymore?

and as far as poppa stoppies in my opinion they are a way more likely to flip then a faster low stoppie [45mph or slower] when you come in at 40 or 45 you don't snap the bike all the way to balance point like you do when doing a poppa stoppie you just pick the tire up slow and low till you get more controll then you start picking it up quicker and higher

Re: endos !Help!
Take that advice... Practice on something small. I practiced on a 50. Any thing with 2 wheels and a front brake should work.
