03 636 Stunt Gearing?
03 636 Stunt Gearing?
i know a lot of guys on here stunt the 03 04 636's, i'm wondering what is good for gearing to lot stunt and street stunt. right now i am running -1 +6 and street stunt and not much lot stuff but can. i am gonna start getting into circles and stuff this year and dont want my bike to be stalling all the time so i'm wondering if i should go even higher in rear. i know OMR and others can do circles with stock sprockets but i know guys that are learning to circle that stall a lot and they are already geared a bit, i live about 15-20 minutes away from my spot and dont wanna be running 12gs to ride at 55mph on the street as well, i wanna find a happy medium, right now my bike is ok to ride on street, i think itd be alright to go up a little higher maybe +8 or +9 in rear and stay -1 in front. is it neccesary to go up 10 or more for lot stuntin? i'd appreciate some opinions. thanx

does your bike scream real bad on the streets or can ya deal with it, i dont wanna be going to do a standup at 40mph and have to be 5th to do it haha
Re: 03 636 Stunt Gearing?
i like my big gear better then the stock gear but i trailer my bike around most of the time...
even one down and ten up is alot for the street imo

Re: 03 636 Stunt Gearing?
Get a damn truck or trailer your bike to the spot. Chances are there's going to be a few times where you can't ride your bike home b/c of broken parts or injuries.
Re: 03 636 Stunt Gearing?
My lot 03/04 636 is +16 and my street 636 is +3.....After ridin the street bike for a while Ive gotten used to the smaller gearing and I might reduce the gearing on my lot bike now too....These 636's dont NEED much gearing
Re: 03 636 Stunt Gearing?
yeah the 03-04 636 is 40 stock in rear, but yeah i am -1+6 but gonna go stock in front and +10 in back not hardly anything more than i have now so that should be good.
n your right these 636's dont need that much gearing from what i have seen so far out there
