Trouble Riding Wheelies!!!
I don't know what is wrong with me! I am having the most trouble with riding out wheelies! I ride a 00 zx-9r and I definately don't have a problem bringing it up! I also went one down on the front sprocket so that makes it alot easier! Sometimes I think that my problem is that I only do power wheelies and it may be easier to keep it up clutching it... hell-if-I-Know!!! I'm sure that there are plenty of guys on here that have an answer so feel free to drop some knowledge!!!
Re: Trouble Riding Wheelies!!!
Yup.. I check mine every 500 miles or so. When it gets loose I cant even get the front wheel higher than a foot. So mabe take it to a qualified shop and have them check it out

I think its pretty cheap to get it done i have one of my boys who works at a shop do mine but i think its like fitty buck or something to adjust it but i think they will check if for free

Well, how do you deal with the feeling that you're going to loop it? Is there a technique to surpass that feeling or do you just have to suck it up and get used to it?

yea, i sounds like it's that easy just hitting the back brake if it feels like imma go over, but i always have the brake covered but it never crosses my mind to hit it when i reach that point! my first instinct is to close the throttle and that's worked so far but i haven't been able to get a tad bit and get back on keeping it up. it's always close, then open then down soft or close then open then redline then striaght down!

well, i've got a lil while before that happens, im still doing pow pow's in first. when i get the feeling that it's going to loop, im probably at about 2 o'clock or 1:30 so i'm not really worried about scraping the tail yet

Clutch harder with more throttle. I figure everytime I "freak out, cut the throttle, and jam on the rear brake in pure terror causing my head and body to slam into the tank", i'm just another step closer to teaching myself to get used to being there.
Anyhow, these progression threads help me, so thanks.
