Question Got my new handbrake

I recieved the HB from moto-heaven with gp tech stunt cap, ordered it before reading the post on how shitty it was. Anyway it is my 1st HB I've bleed the **** out of it, read the sticky about bleeding also, took it all apart got a new o-ring for the adapter bled it silly every which way, leveler, foot pedal, new line by itself all banjos and like normal. Now it's the firmest it's been, but IT STILL FEELS SOFT not spongy but needs to be squeezed hard, is that why this is a POS, my first HB but I expected it to feel more like the front brake lever, did I do everything right or am I expecting too much,I tied the lever for tonite hoping that tomorrow it will be better, thing says brembo, someone said replace the master? Will that bring up to what I was expecting. I really don't know some info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Got my new handbrake

I went out and used it today, both wheels on the ground cause I still suck! With force it locks the rear wheel. HAI also carries this model and their description sums it up that it works, but with less braking power of a better one, good first times HB. Well I'm a first timer, so time to develop some coordination, shorty clutch lever=uncomfortable.

Re: Got my new handbrake

If it locks the tire you're fine. Look at the size of the rear rotor.. Its not going to stop your whole bike right away. Learn engine brake.. Then tap the hb if you're gonna loop. You better know footbrake before you're learning hb.

Re: Got my new handbrake

Right on, I've got rear brake pretty good, catching idle every so often. working on stop to bp then ride it out, haven't looped or bailed in a long time now that the oh **** feeling is becoming oh yeah! can catch myself when I think I'm going over, but now trying to scrape(lightly) to get a feel for how much more room I got behind me. Slowing em down once in a while to.
