Streetfighter Wires Everywhere?

Just wondering where you guys put all the wires and such when running a streetfighter headlight, and if theres anything in particular you have to do for airflow and so on to ride all the time with a streetfighter setup. i have seen guys with F4Is tuck the wires into one side of the airbox entry, but 03 636s are setup different. post pix if possible

Re: Streetfighter Wires Everywhere?

Cable tied together behind the acerbis. If you're staying streetfighter it helps if you cut out a lot of the excess wire.

Re: Streetfighter Wires Everywhere?

well considering i just chopped my fairing off for the side plastics its deffinately staying a streetfighter, maybe i'll go through and chop some stuff out and see where i can hide the rest, some have said to put them under the gas tank in one side of the air induction tube so thats probly where they will go, just want a clean look thats all

Re: Streetfighter Wires Everywhere?

I stuck all my wiring under my tank and I think Optimus Prime did the same thing on his 636.

I'm just doin this to my F4i right now. i have everything i need to go FF, but i wanna paint everything pretty, and hopefully get some squidly mistakes outta the way before i just destroy everything... I wanna keep my gauges as well, that might be a bit of a trick!

Re: Streetfighter Wires Everywhere?

nah it can be done fairly easy, harder if you have a gpr but easy without, just get big black zip ties and zip tie it to the upper triple

Re: Streetfighter Wires Everywhere?

this could be dumb question but 636's have the center air induction so does it still get enough air

Re: Streetfighter Wires Everywhere?

I extended all of my wiring to under the tank....it took some time to cut and solder all the wires but it looks WAY better. On my bike actually you can only see about three wires and that's it everything else is hidden. So you don't see the wires by the frame, by the radiator, etc.

Re: Streetfighter Wires Everywhere?

I ran all my wires tucked under my frame/side my tank/airbox, if that makes sense...

I just ran the single headlight harness up to my lights and tucked those behind the lights, used a zip tie, to tie it to the hole the the old fairing stay used to be.

Re: Streetfighter Wires Everywhere?

I just tied my wireing across the top of my radiator. The 636 does get enough air in the airbox without having the induction. Just don't block it too badly.

I spent the better part of an evening drawing out a wiring diagram, labeling wires, and then snipping and soldering somewhere near 60 new connections. Used heat shrink tubing on all the new connections, and put all the wires in a loom.

The end result, is I have a single small loom running from my instrument cluster back to under the air box. Every thing else is zip tied up nicely in there. I also run all my clip-on gauges, so did the same thing on those... ie start/stop, blinker/headlight.
