Throttle Control - feel like a n00b now..

I've been doing slow stuff and idle for so long and today I went out on the streets for the first time in a year, I ****** SUCKED. Can do lots of good stuff in the lots but on the streets is a different matter, seems my throttle control is all over the place... this is probably a bit of a n00b question but, I guess when it comes to street, I am a n00b! Any tips on improving throttle control for faster street stuff?

I'm honestly not that bad when it comes to the slow stuff, I just seem to have some sort of mental block when I'm going faster than 20mph

or ride with your idle down one whole day 1st gear seeing how smooth you can be, then 2nd is a joke

Cheers NY, I went out for an hour or so tonight with the idle down, within 30 mins I was doing balanced 2nd gear staggered.. now I'm doing 2nd gear staggered, foot in seat and seat standers for as long as i like, flamingoes etc and even getting idle in 2nd and doing coasters (till i flipped one anyway lol) got some up in 3rd as well... learnt so much today in such a short time, i think going fast again will improve my overall riding by loads! cheers.

that doesn't make sense, if you are smooth enough to idle stuff, but you aren't to do less precise stuff on the street....you're high.

there is a bigger margin for garbage throttle on the streets so it should be easier than trying to balance with throttle control going slow. have you hit your head lately? it sounds like a mental thing, not a throttle control thing.

It probably is mental thing, I have only done slow stuff for like.. a year now... I have NEVER wheelied in 2nd gear.. ever... I bought a CBR and learnt slow stuff straight away. I think I just had mental issues with going faster?? I dunno but I've cracked it now either way I'm happy :YEAH

sometimes if you always have your idle up all the time just cause you can go slow stuff.....doesn't mean you have good throtte control....it's ways good to do things off idle every once in a while to work on throttle control....

oi no way, i can ride the streets just as well. The only reason i couldn't wheelie at 100kph on the Amsterdam ring road is because my gearing is to big
