Re: DB bars With Stabilizer?

thats exactly what i want, i'd rather have it on bottom but i think those are kits that GPR makes for dirt bikes, they dont make any kits like that for sportbikes, idk y but they dont, i already asked um, its either make your own or make room for the kit underneith of the bars but most mount kits are good size

I ordered a gpr for my 900RR and I will just figure out
what to use to mount to the frame to stabalize it...

Ya its not a simple bolt on ment for it, ( you just have to
think outside the box.. )

Re: DB bars With Stabilizer?

all you need are dirtbike bar risers that are high enough to clear your gpr. right now i have 40mm tall risers, they make taller ones. check the distance from your triple to the top of the gpr and just buy risers that are taller than that.

also, i don't think i need to mention it for you but i will anyways, you just mount the risers far enough apart to clear the gpr on the sides.

you're other option is to just run a normal rod style damper. they are actually tighter than rotory if you get a nitrogen charged one like ohlins or hyperpro. that way your tiny mounting bracket will fit under just about any set of risers and it won't get in the way. take your pick

Re: DB bars With Stabilizer?

oh ya, those setups from GPR are highly expensive. you have to buy that whole triple clamp. i think i remember seeing a complete billet triple clamp like that for a 929 and it was around 500$ just for the clamp....and you still have to buy the gpr (which you already have).

they're not that tall.....those look tall because they are dirtbikes. the gpr stabilizer is about 3" off the triple, so if you get risers to clear that you will have a 3" rise. i don't actually think they are even 3" tall. i think that is an over-estimation, but at that it would still only require 75mm risers....i'm running 40mm right now just normal and i don't think they are even close to what i would call "tall"

Re: DB bars With Stabilizer?

And this one is Dizzle. I was looking a while ago and saw these pics of setups. I think it was Tneck said that he made the risers a little higher so it would fit.

Re: DB bars With Stabilizer?

I think it does - so they come w the clamps and the clamps hook up to the tripple and you can hook your damper up in the middle. Sounds easy enough but i know I'll be in my garage for like 8 hours trying to hook this **** up. Good lookin out w the info. I'm gonna order them now.
