I've just been getting into tank wheelies, and I was trying to imagine how to do a high chair... Where do I put my legs? Over the mirrors? Or just below the mirrors over the bars... Or over the windshield? Or take the mirrors off? I have no idea..

And anything I should be aware of while trying these? I've never done one..

I haven't tried a high chair yet. Not ready. But... you put both your legs over the bars together and sit way up on the tank.

I wouldn't touch that though. Not until you've got a TON experience with more basic stunts...

 

can you do sitdowns at balance point yet & slow them down? if not dont try it

 

Yea, I probably won't try until I really nail these other wheelies.. I was just curious. Also, do I need a dented tank?

 

For highchairs and standing on the tank it will obviously help. But for now, no.

 

I can't even do sitdowns... I can do staggared at balance point... But can't slow them down yet..

2nd off i know by how you post " how do i get into high chair?" guess what it aint rocket science
3rd off when i was super squid i thot accelerating wheelies were still cool. but trying any off the foot break trick is retarded without a handbreak. especially when you learn to slow down wheelies

 

Definetly need to practice other wheelies before you rush into a highchair, especialy if you don't even know where the BP is.

 

not being a dick but have you ever watched any stunt vids? please use your head and not try to ride outside your limits, take your time... and DONT try this by yourself

 

better yet, go find a spot where people near you ride, meet them hang out and watch them very closly and get advise

 

yes dent your tank and put grip tape on it. learning the other simpler wheelies first is a good idea and its what i would recommend, but then again theres nothing wrong with being ballsy and trying different stunts, thats mainly how people get good is just by going for it and mind over matter, and be sure to practice as much as you can, at least a few hours a day.

unfortunately I don't have a stunt bike, so I can't go all out. But I think I made some sick progress today (staggard stand ups). I don't know if I'm at balance point yet.. cause it seems I'm still accelerating, but I can hold it for maybe 200 ft. If i'm lucky. I'll try and get a vid up for some tips

does the front end feel weightless? if you hit BP you'll know it because the first few times you hit it, its like goin down a huge hill on a roller coaster.. your stomache drops, etc.. do you have a cage? or atleast race rails? try slowin down your wheelies.. the slower you start the more bottom end you have and the less it will hurt if you fall over or loop... just my .

Everyone keeps saying that about bp. I had to have hit bp. I went so far back!! If I didn't hit bp.. then I quit.. cause it's way too far back if I didn't hit it. I'm going to video tape myself today, and ask if that's bp, because I don't know if I'm really hitting it. It doesn't really feel weightless... But could that be because I've done it so much? It use to give me chills and wierd stomach pains, but i've poped it up so much I don't feel much anymore. Anyways, I gotta get a vid up

Another thing, how do I slow down wheelies... I touch the brake the slightest bit and the bike comes whipping down. Brake + engine braking.. omfg.. My wrists are killing me.

 

I'd stop now if you're worried about your bike not looking so "damn sexy" because stunting and "damn sexy" bikes don't usually go hand in hand unless you're really good... I'm guessing once you hit BP you'll be very close to flipping especially if you have no brake control yet... keep practicing yeah, but if you want to keep your bike minty I wouldn't learn to stunt on it

p.s frame sliders won't do anything to protect your bike from a flip... someone by me stunts a CBR600 and has frame sliders whilst waiting for a crash cage, and he dropped it doing a highchair donut and they bent up and got fooked simple as that, I'd hate to see what they'd do in a flip.

if u want your bike to stay sexy, stop now, my bike was mint(almost show bike) when i got it, now look at my avatar (i loved every second of beating the **** out of it too), but if your learning your bike is fucked, you will brake so much ****, yourself,so if your scared to drop it, dont start stunting.also

GO PRACTICE, you wont learn anything from reading what people put online, Make sure u know where your rear brake is
