Hey guys,

I'm new here at the forum. I'm very sorry if this question has been asked already, but I couldn't find a search function.

Anyway, how long did it take you guys to learn how to wheely? I'm talking about keeping the wheely without gaining speed.. I'm riding a yamaha tw200 (I know, I know... but its my first bike) and I can't keep the wheely up for the life of me.... I know all the basics, etc. and just need more practice, but how long does it usually take to be able to do wheelies in the balance point?

the braver you are the quicker you will learn but use common sense and don't kill your self trying to get it fast just like you said keep practicing

 

that is like asking someone how long it took them to learn to play guitar, or asking someone from china how long it took them to learn to speak English. It will vary depending on sooooo many variables and how much talent, effort, motivation someone has.

and if you knew the basics you wouldn't be askin a stupid fukin question. But thats just my two cents.

 

Yes you are right. But I'm not asking how long it will take ME to learn how to do a wheely. I'm just asking you guys how long it took YOU. I know the answer won't help me to learn how to do wheelies any faster, but if a couple people say it took them a year or two, etc. I don't have to feel so bad and can just keep practicing. But if a lot of people say it only took them a couple weeks or days, then I know I'm either doing something wrong or plain won't ever be able to learn them.

I'm just curious to know how long it took you guys to learn...

 

most people wont admit it took them a long time but if you ride with people who are better then you you will learn quick and if you ride alone you wont push your self as hard....
