im not sure in your state but in IL if you have a permit from the owner they cant touch you with anything!!!!

as far as lots go sometimes cops are cool but if they feel so entitled to they can give you tickets for an array of things suchas but not limited to reckless driving trespassing desctuction of property etc...

In Ny cops have nothing to do. I look at it this way. You give me a ticket in a parking lot. The drunk ******* driving down the road gets away scott free....

But if you're legit and you know it, and you decide to take it to court, it won't hold up no matter what.

Cops can do ANYTHING they want, its just a matter of whether or not it'll hold up.

Re: Problems getting it up in 2nd

I got after it today. I still cannot find a place to do stand up seconds! Don't think thats the problem though. Well, it turns out that I am a tard. I cant get the clutching, the bouncing, and the standing all at the same time! Just to many new things at once for this retard. I really sucked, I mean bad! I have it on film, but would never show it. Now I have always pulled in the clutch in with my whole hand(I know this is not the right way) and when clutching wheelies, you can only use a finger. I didn't have the whole clutching thing down at all. So, I really worked hard on first gear sit downs (one finger on the clutch), just working on getting the whole clutch thing down. Believe me, I needed alot of practice and got it in today. Now I have the clutch down with sit downs and figured out where the power is in second and can get one up an inch or so with clutching up. (on road on way home) I am going to have to try this on the road, there is just no other way! I will never find a parking lot that will let me get to 50 to try stand up seconds. I have to be honest I really only tried stand ups a few times tonight, dam thats soooo ******* scary. My legs just give way like a puss. I don't even want to talk about it. I'm embarrassed as hell, and am just going to practice for a while and I mean a country while! I almost wanted to give up, but got a few to stand right up and very easy, just cannot keep it there at all ( probably because it was in first or the whole tard thing) FEEL FREE TO CLOWN, I AM READY FOR IT ALL!!!! See you guys tomorrow, I will be sure to leave my sensitivity at home.

Re: Problems getting it up in 2nd

this is all im saying from now on out take it or leave it!!!

1. only practice in 1st gear
2. cover your rear brake
3. clutch up
4. practice 200 standups.....NO SITDOWNS NO EXCEPTIONS

its gonnna feel wierd man you have to break through that feeling BY PRACTICING THEM NOT SIT DOWNS

the only way to learn something is to practice it

Re: Problems getting it up in 2nd

I did the EXACT opposite when learning besides the clutching part: I did sitdowns in second, but I'm also on a dirtbike with a bigger sprocket

Dude, you're not a tard, you just suck right now. Seriously, how many days have you been practicing? Like 2. Get out there and hit it again.

I did get my foot over the break last night! Its all in the shoes, your on it samurai!:YEAHI will stay in first and continue clutching and I will start trying to stand this weekend. Do you suggest the staggard stance? I had to get the feel of clutching before I stand, its weird! By the way, thank you both for the continued help, and sorry for being a bitch yesterday!

Re: Problems getting it up in 2nd

ya dude always staggered for now cuz if you tried a SS/seatstander you wouldnt be able to cover the brake etc... and for right now id say just stick with staggered; more control, safer, less scary etc.....

just stay in first and roll about 5-10mph MAX and then clutch it up!

To rybred. It's all right man. Like people said this takes hours/months of straight going out every day. The best way to get over that fear is to man up and go out try it from a dead stop staggered. After a couple hundred tries of shitting your pants you will be good. I remember my first dead stop stand ups. I was like oh **** here we go. Then I said now that wasn't to bad. Good luck. DO NOT GIVE UP. It's either man up or man out.

Re: Problems getting it up in 2nd

Its kinda hard to explain what a wheelie feels like. Maybe a see-saw? Except you're on both sides. I don't know, but yeah just clutch it up, and please don't go way over your comfort level. When I was learning, I just tried to get it a little higher every time. It works. Even though it might take months or even a year, eventually your going to hit bp. You'll know.

Re: Problems getting it up in 2nd

I look at it like this. When you get out of a chair you don't launch yourself. You slowly come to a point where you stand up. IDK how to explain how it goes you have to get a feeling for it. Stand in your room go through the same routine of going how you would on a stand up. Or better yet go on your bike and just go through the movements.

Man, ur up and down like my ex...and to this day I swear she was bipolar....Anyways, listen man. We all know ur frustration, it comes from u being so anxious to learn this..Y? B/C U WANNA LEARN IT, AND U WANNA LEARN IT NOW...But the problem is that ur not matching ur practice time w/ur anxiety...Yeah u wanna learn it, but ur not puttin in the time and sessions...Instead, ur trying to put all of this together in short periods of times and rides...(ie: riding home from work) To be real w/u, attempting a few times on the way home is not gonna get it...How much u put into it is how much you'll get out of it. I mean, if u take a day and just go out and practice repeatedly, take a break...grab some food, then go back, you'll progress a little if not a lot faster. But u can't expect to read these posts, and just go out there on 1 or 2 attempts and just w/NO WHEELIE EXPERIENCE AT ALL...it just doesn't work like that . I mean, ur acting like the Karate Kid, Mr. Miyagi is telling u to paint the fence and wax the cars but u wanna be a ninja on the first day, so u turn around and get frustrated w/him. And if u remember, he went out trying to fight w/o the proper training and practice and got his *** whooped. And if u don't put in the time ur gonna get jumped. Yep, the bike and the ground are gonna team up and whip ur *** man. Not a good feeling. U have to take ur time, learn, and PRACTICE...Man, we've all been there, we all wanna learn a trick RIGHT NOW, but some of us know it takes time and practice (these guys know way better than I do) ...Again, what u put in it is what you'll get out of it...( sorry for the gay Karate Kid reference)Now go out there and get'em!!!
