Re: Problems getting it up in 2nd

You know what, your right! I really need to put in the time! i really have been just sucking in all this information and have not put in more than 3 hours clutching it. I really don't have anyone to go stunt with, all my boys just go fast. I have no one to work on this with me and I have a crazy life that also don't help. I will have to leave you all alone until I start making some new progress to brag about with my little ***** over here in the Nasty Natti. Well Samurai, I figured out what was going on with my bike sounding like rice krispys when I came down off that wheelie... My front sprocket is all fucked up! I was about to go hit the twisties with my boys tonight until someone noticed my chain being a little loose. We threw the bike on a rack and that dam chain was dancing around like a fat striper! **** was going everywhere. I have a spocket and am hopefully going to put it on tomorrow. Well, unfortunatly 2 of my friends went down tonight while going fast. Josh and Mel! Josh is having total memory loss, and this chick Mel broke her arm and fucked up her knee. I think Josh will survive, but will be layed up in the hostiptal for a while. Mel will be fine, she is a soldier. Please keep these people in your prayers to what ever god you pray to.(no discrimination) i will keep my legs bent and give you a heads up on the new progress to come. Well, gonna get to bed have a good weekend and KEEP THE RUBBER SIDE DOWN.

Yeah matt, you're having the same problems I'm having trying to explain the feeling!

I don't know, it kinda feels like the bike is real heavy and you're chasing it as the front end comes up but then once you're nearing bp, it suddenly lightens up, almost like your rear wheel is moving forward under you a lot faster

Its difficult to describe...

And sorry to hear about your buddies.

No not yet, I went the see the indy cars at the KY speedway and then went the the Beach the next day. I will be hooking up with Mick tonight and he can tell you all tomorrow how bad I actually suck. Sort of giving the bike a little break with my front sprocket acting up on me. I have it in and just need to put it on. Well, I am going to go out tonight and possibly get it on vid. Probably get that to you by Thursday or something. I need my computer guy to help me get it on the computer.(cause I'm a tard) My friends are fine by the way, they will both make it back on their bikes, once they get new ones! Hope everyone had a great weekend, and thanks for giving a **** about me. I really appreciate it!

PS I will put in the time this week!!! I need to be beat

(Last Friday I wrote) Well, unfortunately 2 of my friends went down tonight while going fast. Josh and Mel! Josh is having total memory loss, and this chick Mel broke her arm and fucked up her knee. Saturday, Mel went into surgery for her arm and her knee, and she will be fine. Josh has regained his memory loss( still does not remember the crash) but has some bad spinal damage. He will be about an inch shorter for the rest of his life. He squashed his spine from coming straight down on his head. He grip locked the bike when he crashed and never let go. He flew over 100 yards and scrapped his helmet down to the comfy part of the helmet. I think he goes into surgery today on his knee. I will let you all know how he is, but our little 100lb pride and joy Mel is going to do fine. Thank you for caring. I will keep you updated if their condition worsens from here. BE SAFE OUT THERE, AND KEEP THAT RUBBER SIDE DOWN!

OH YEA I KNOW! Well, That is exactly what happened. Mel was in front and made a hand signal to turn left, and Josh was going well over 100 passing everyone in oncomming traffic lane. When she started to turn, he T Boned her(not a good T Boning). It was his right mirror that broke her arm when he slammed into her. He then hit a sewer grade and began to go head over heels over and over and over again. The only thing left on his bike was a gas tank and that caught fire. They had to pull him away from the fire untill the medics showed up. Believe me this opened my eyes and one of the reasons I wasn't die hard trying to get after it this weekend! TY for the advice, it is taken to heart.

Yea I know, but it was an accident. Thank God no one lost their lives. He feels horible and I feel him. We are not going to hold a grudge against him at all, he really is a great guy, he was just riding over his head(new rider 6 months). Don't get me wrong, I am for sure not condoning this bull ****. But we do have a great deal of love for all of our fellow riders, and don't want him to feel any worse than he does now though. He is pretty broke up over the whole thing! When he gets better, we will give him a flogging for sure.. But till then, we are all open arms. This **** happens and we ALL have to be ready for it. YOU HAVE TO EXPECT IT!! It was a fast day and you have to check every angle before you turn or when you pass. We always pass each other, but he should of been paying closer attention. I don't think he will be riding for quite sometime with us due to multi pal reasons. Bike is dead, his body is dam near dead!

Re: Problems getting it up in 2nd

sorry man but ima have to disagree, i have been on my fair share of "fast" days and we all have rules and we all abide by them when your hitting straights and **** or turns no passing.....but aside from all that 6 mo riding expirience wtf? was he doign going that fast passing the group IN ONCOMING?? he was riding above his abilities and wasnt paying attention to the leaders signals im sorry but i would never ride with him again

I dont mind new guys cuz im learning myself but you knw what i dont leave my head at home when i get on a bike man when i ride is tay within my abilities and i stay in the pack and i watch everyones movements so i can stay outa there way and be safe and have as much time to react as possible

You need to teach your friend responsibility and to not hot shot around cuz his lil show off move almost killed your girl

4 sho! You right! I am the same way when I ride, don't get me wrong I do like to show off, but it's not going to put anyone's life at steak. I don't think I am going to have to ride with him anymore anyway! But will not lose him as a friend. I don't think he will pass gas much less other riders ever again. Nothing to worrie about from here!

i cant believe i just read 10 pages of this. first the powerband, then the newb squids running into each other at 100 mph. rybred, you need to give up riding and take up a new hobby because you or someone around you is going to get hurt or killed. you are really lucky you've got some people to be patient enough with you to teach you how to use the brakes on your bike, but seriously, dont let it fool you. YOU ARE A HAZARD TO EVERYONE ON THE ROAD.

Re: Problems getting it up in 2nd

What's up, this is my quick up date. I worked on standups last night and still need training wheels. I can get it up in first about an inch at a time, I did finally get one up to the soft spot (BP) but let it right back down! I can't go 5-10 MPH because I need so much power, my bike gurgles when I drop the clutch at 12000rpm's.(I think) I have been going by sound. Now around 30 I was able to get it up a little, but just an inch or so. I have to rev the **** out of it and it's scarry because my bike is already one of the loudest I have heard. I couldn't get ahold of Mick by time I got off work, so I just went by my self. The few I did get up, did feel alot more comfy than I thought it would. I just need to do it 100000000 times! and I will, just give me a little time, Those standups really take it out of you.
