Can someone help me out?
Can someone help me out?
Hey guys, im new here, obviously.
Well I love bikes, even though I dont know too much about them, I still have an infinate passion for sportsbikes and stunts.
I'll introduce myself real quick. Im Andrew, 16, prolly youngest guy here right? Haha, well im homeschooled, and hopefully getting my GED in a couple of months, and as a gift, my stepdad is buying me a bike finally, and I cant decide over which one, the choice is between these two:
http://www.mykissimmeemotorsports.co...h2=37793&go=Go
The price difference isnt the issue, but 600 is the max my parents will let me get right now. I dont like the upright position too much, but I want a good sports bike, and I want it loud, but not illegal loud, cause untill Feb.08 I wont have my license. And the loud is the style I like, im not just a new guy who sees the attention loud bikes get, im just in love with it. Well, I hope you guys can help me out without flaming me haha.
Any help is appreciated.
P.S. I have enough experience on a 400 to handle the 600, I've just never owned a bike, the 400 was my friends that I rode a whole lot over the course of a year. And this is gonna be my bike for the next couple of years at least, so another thing I wanted to know, which would be better to start learning wheelies on? Just simple wheelies, nothing else. And I definatly wouldnt start trying anytime soon, I just want to make the right choice.

Re: Can someone help me out?
get the zzr, its a fuel injected ninja 600
basically that bike has been made since 1998 till now... but in uh 2003 i believe they turned the ninja 600 into a sport/touring bike know known as the zzr...
def get the zzr, great all around bike and looks better then the 650r
just convince your dad that it has been made for quite some time now (almost ten years) and parts are cheaper and it has much better suspension

My moms already agreed to the ninja, or the zzr. I just want one that would be good for doing wheelies on, later on down the road that is.

Either way the bike is still ok with or without fuel injection . He most likely won't even notice it since he is a new rider . Re: Can someone help me out?
Haha, i've done it with the clutch before but only on a 125 bike, and it was a motorcycle, but it was totally different than the bikes here (it was in pakistan) but yeah, I mean i'd rather use the clutch rather than doin it on power alone, since it seems like it would screw up first gear.
Re: Can someone help me out?
I just had the 650 r and sold it toup grade to a ninja zx 6r, the 650 is a more relaxed ride easy and comfortable to power up wheelie, where as the zx6r is more difficult to power up due to really high red line and the speed that comes with it, slipping the clutch seems more appropriate with out going 50 plus. I have a larger rear sprocket on the way to try out. The zzr will be more of a racier bike preformance, posture, throttle response (snappier) four cyclindrs rather than two.
Re: Can someone help me out?
Up to like $7300, but thats on finance though, I have no cash so I have to buy a new bike.
I wanted a used CBR600 (thats what it is right?) But in FL honda requires insurance, and for me thats way too high.
My parents wont let me go over 600, but I talked em into 650, but thats the highest, so a good bike brand new up to 650cc and within $7300.
Re: Can someone help me out?
Dont finance. If its your first bike and your gonna want to stunt, financing is the last way to go. I wouldnt do it. You'll just end up with a messed up bike and still owe too much money. Borrow $3000 or just save and find a good 2001 or better 600. Especially in the winter when bikes are much cheaper. You'd be better off financing something cheaper like a enduro/motard or even a 50 to learn wheelies on.
You'll learn but being loud and stunting dont mix. I rock stock pipes on everything, except maybe a show/comp bike. Cops can here your clutch drop or high rev's from block away. You get enough misdemeanors/tickets on the streets, you'll be throwing that loud pipe in the trash.

But I wouldnt be stunting untill a couple of years, cause according to the guys on another forum, I suck at riding. Which I dont think I do but they are oh so experienced so yeah.
Well the bike would be almost paid off by the time I start stunting on it, so would that be an ok way to go?

Re: Can someone help me out?
come on now...your already on a stunt forum asking questions. Your gonna be rocking power wheelies your first week. Financing is just a bad idea is all im saying. Especially when its your first bike. You can find a used bike all day for dirt cheap. Being patience is hard but its better then owing thousands of dollars for a scratched up bike. Your first drop/laydown whatever costs $1000. When you leave the dealer parking lot its just lost $1000. And you gonna drop it. Everybody does. Even if its opps the kickstand was up and fell over. Borrow a few thousand and you'll thank me later. Get a summer job and get a cheap f4i in the winter for $1500-2000 or get a mint bike for $3000-4000. I dont know. From experience I've been down your road and its never good.
Would it be worth it to go with the new bike if I got a cage?
You give some good advice bro, I just got mostly smartass know it all responses on the other forum.
Re: Can someone help me out?
My opinion, No. That will make it that much easier for you to start trying stunts sooner and drop it. If you finance anything you might as well finance something you can turn completely into a Strong Reliable stunt bike later like f4i or 636. But really the F4i by far. Look at your local Motorcycle Dismantler shops they sometimes have older bikes that can be financed.

Ok, thanks for the advice. I'll look around and see what I can find.
