need help with stoppies.
How the hell do you do it? I ran up to about 40 mph pulled the clutch, leaned forward and applied the brake till the tire locked up and skidded. Didn't feel the rear do anything. I let off the brake when the front tire skidded.
Re: need help with stoppies.
take small steps when learning......
go about 20-30 mph pull in clutch, then throw yer weight forward at the same time you squeeze the front brake....remember to feather it not close it or youll be kissing the ground.........practice practice practice...

Re: need help with stoppies.
get a nice sticky front tire on thier and practice thats about all there is to it, takes time, i learned how to do mine by starting them at 40 or so the slower you go i think the more likely the front locks up, get tire really hot before even attempting to try any
Re: need help with stoppies.
if you do not know how to get it up at do this.
1 speed up to 40 mph and try to slow down to a stop very quickly.
2 note the distance it took you to stop, and try over again SAME speed but try to stop in a shorter distance.
3 keep making the stopping distance shorter without locking the tire and eventually the back will slowly come up as you stop
4 keep trying as above and you will start to get used to the back coming up
5 remember the higher it comes up.....the LESS brake force is needed
6 take your time and be carefull
7 video taping your self will really help you understand what your doing, the bike will feel alot higher than it really is
