finally 12'd!!!!! & How to do a DB set up?

I was out riding with a buddy today in a lot and finally found balance point, but then I also found the point of no return and crashed. I now know how far back is to far. My left clipon snapped like a twig. I had to ride home only steering with my right hand.

Moving on though, I am looking at doing a DB set up sooner than expected. I saw the kit on Hai bike shop and just need to know if I need anything else. Am I going to need a longer clutch cable or a longer throttle cable as well??? (This was on the f4 not the sv)

I 12'd for a lil bit then it started swirving back and forth that's when I lost it (looped it). I was thinking that the db bars wouldn't be as likely to break as the clipons, and you can get a set of DB bars for the price of one clip on (Correct me if I'm wrong about this.) If my right clip on broke I would have been screwed and not been able to ride the bike home.

you didn't 12...you crashed and db bend. get aftermarket with the tubes. then you'll just need to replace the tubes which are like $8 after crashing...I mean 12'n

yeah yeah man.. get some aftermarket clip-ons.. they can still break but most likely youll bend one of the tubes. I like to keep an extra tube around so I don't have any down time.

I guess he had a better view of both of us then we did when we were riding, he must get around a lot.

I was probably going 10-15 when I crashed, the si cage saved my bike it first hit on it's left side pretty hard then bounced over and came to rest on it's right side. Both mirrors broke, which shouldn't have been on the bike anyways, the left clip on, and a crack in the tail section which I just finished fixing now I need to paint it up.

it's only a 12 if you meant to do it
