2nd Gear Wheelies
2nd Gear Wheelies
I was wondering If I popped the clutch on my '06 Ninja 636 and rolled the throttle back hard would my bike flip? I can power the 1st gear wheelies and ride them far but I've been playing around with the 2nd gear wheelies to see if I can ride the wheelies even further. Any help would be much appreciated. Oh.. and by the way.. when I pop the clutch on second gear and roll the throttle I don't roll it back hard enough.. I have a feeling that if I roll on it too hard it will flip... if not.. it might just hit BP. But I want someone to say ok before I go out and do it.
Re: 2nd Gear Wheelies
Stop 2nd gear wheelies, you're not ready.
Go learn 1st gear clutch wheelies, learn the back brake, learn the back brake, learn the back brake, learn the back brake, learn the back brake, then go try a 2nd gear clutch wheelie.
There's a billion threads here on how to clutch up first gear wheelies. You're far from BP man.
Just take it slow and you'll be fine.
and don't take any ok's seriously.....I have a vision if you go out and try that **** without learning 1st....its you, on your back, with a motorcycle on top of you

Re: 2nd Gear Wheelies
Well.. I know how to clutch the 1st gear wheelies... I'm not so consistent on my back brake. I can't ride my clutch first gear wheelies far but I can do them.. I don't like 1st gear because its too choppy. 2nd gear feels so much smoother but I feel that if I roll back on it too hard it might flip. I give it as much gas as I would a first gear clutch and it doesn't wanna stay up. I don't really know how to bounce the 2nd gears yet thats why I was asking about giving 2nd gear more gas to have it come up and stay up.
Re: 2nd Gear Wheelies
ok, thats a different story. But still, you gotta know the rear brake cause thats the only thing that'll save your *** if you go back too far. I feel like I can't tell you much cause I haven't been there, but I hear bp feels like you're about to fall over. I'd say go back to first and get comfortable with catching yourself with the rear (thats where I'm at right now) and then go chasing BP.
but hey thats just my
sorry for assuming what you know, I thought you were someone way over their head.

Re: 2nd Gear Wheelies
I thought he was joking. I mean anyone who has riden a bicycle is gonna know that your bikes not going to magically stop at BP. His first post made it sound like he thought he might just be able to wack the throttle wide open, and it would find BP by itself. If you're serious, bro, get a bicycle, pull it back to BP, and feel how easy it wants to loop. It'll give you the general idea.
Re: 2nd Gear Wheelies
Thats why I won't ride bicycle anymore!! I got no respect for them so I f*ck around and next thing you know I'm laying on the ground couse I looped it. Found out the hard way one nite ya don't have to give it much front brake to get the back up to BP and went flying and landed on my head (opps!!)
