i have a n extra 900 sub frame and i want to brace it so i can start 12ing it so i was wondering if any one has ever cover the side and bottom in dimond plate im going to cut it with a sheet metal cutting press so i could get a nice stright cut and than weld it up real nice and weld on a round bar
so i was just wondering if any one has done this and fi so does any one have any pics thanks

mmmmkay. aluminum diamond plate will weld up fine and might brace it a lil. you might consider using 1/2"x1/2" aluminum stock to brace the subframe in weak spots horizontally, vertically, and maybe diagonally if you want.
As for the round bar, make one out of steal and bolt it on. not sure how an aluminum round bar will last and a steal one won't weld to your subframe.
and FYI, I have diamond plate on the underside of my subframe.....more for a custom undertail than for bracing though.

i want to cover the side and bottem of my sub but i think im going to do it for more looks than anything cause i have 2 900 and my one 900 is my minty piece and my other 900 is just a stunt piece im trying to make look good even though i cant stunt yet

depending on how good you cut, bend, and weld everything it can look pretty good. Just don't expect it to look too custom. I think mine looks ok, but not great. still need to weld it in tho
