TIRE for cicles

I was lookin at the tires at the shop today

qualifier = looked flatter tread on the sides somewhat,

battleAX = seemed to come more to a tip and about the same compound, as the qualifier, the edges were mor solid rubber on the edges

pilot = the softest of the three, not as ointed as the BattleAx

Anyways what are you running or do you recomend?

I run the Bridgestone BT020, I can have 5 pounds of pressure in the thing and still not have the tire come off the bead, these sidewalls are HELLA hard.....Yes It is considered a sport touring tire, but I have done a **** load of burnouts and this tire does NOT want to let go of any tread.....

A++ Bridgestone BT020

Why would you ever want to run 5 pounds of pressure

Re: TIRE for cicles

Dunlop 208 and 218 have very nuetral shape that lets them circle easy at any lean angle...

I like michelins - more aggressive lean characteristics, but GREAT traction...

many guys seem to like the pilot roads.. i like powers...

in the end, after playing with psi (every tire likes a different psi) and taking a few minutes to get used to it, most tires are very capable...

Re: TIRE for cicles

Any NEW tire is better then some used take off. New tires roll into the circle alot better and for people learning that transition is the hardest part to learn. Used take off's normally have a flat spot in the middle which will make dipping it in alot more unstable. I personally like the pilot power, it rolls over like a champ and you can get on the gas really good with it and not worry about it washing out on you.

Re: TIRE for cicles

usually make out of rubber but the m3's are guaranteed to do three more circles than the pilot powers
