97 zx6r oil pick up

ok so ive used the search and i cant find anything that helps!do i need to put a oil pick up on the bike?or just overfill it?i know a few people who dont bother and others who wont ride without one,whats the score????

i've allways been on to add, most bikes can handle 1/2 quart more, try that and if it runs like ****, change your plugs and run the norm amount of oil

ok cheers i'll try it this weekend and see what happens.id guess its gong to be more likely to hydro if i over fill it too much and drop it?

i was thinkin it mite make it more prone to lockin if theres too much oil in there & whats the english conversion for 1/2 quart

english conversion? theres a clear strip on the side and divide by 2
