slow wheelies
slow wheelies
looking for advice I;ve been practicing slow wheelies on my 03 r6 with stock gears,10 psi in the rear tire, and idel at 3k. having trouble finding the balance point Ive goin back far enough where I've sraped the the tail but my reaction is to hit the rear brake then I just come back down. Can't seem to keep the wheelie goin at a constant speed I just keep speeding up

Re: slow wheelies
I hear ya, but it's so sensitive and my natural reaction is to hit the brake hard cause I don't wanna loop it. Still getting used to throwin the bike up slow I'm real inconsistint
Re: slow wheelies
stock gear is how i learned ....stand ups from 3rd start at about 35 mph and get it nice and smooth then start slowing it down ....when you can go like 15mph every time then try going from a dig in first
Re: slow wheelies
This calls for more practice. It's good that your instinct is to slam on the rear brake when you tip too far, instead of what most n00bs do which is just loop. Practice, and pretty soon that feeling will become natural, and you'll begin to feather the brake.
Re: slow wheelies
Ride the brake. Then slowly ease off, and see how little brake you need to give it without increasing speed.
Don't do this for too long, at one period of time you will cook your brake.
