Re: best master cylinder.

I am currently using a 929 and like it allot but I have also owned a Brembo 16x18 its better than 636 or 929 but from my past experience as far as testing hand master cylinders I would go with a 05 GSXR master cylinder they are awesome and cheaper than a brembro just can be tricky having the line connect towards the top. I think the 1000rr are the same as the newer style GSXR's

Re: best master cylinder.

I won a Magura 13mm off ebay for $200. Its the billet one. Should be here this week. I'll let you know how it works...I had about every stock radial master and the r1 and r6 master worked the best. They are 16mm brembo's. I heard the 954 ones work good though, just take up more room..

Re: best master cylinder.

Gsxr is 3/4 bore. The r1/r6 is 16mm. Thats the smallest stock radial bore. The r1 master was the best one. I tried them all.....

Re: best master cylinder.

Pretty much all the radials are the same exact unit s just different colors. The r1/r6 are brembo's 16mm. All the others are 3/4. The r1/r6 worked the best. I've tried them all.

Re: best master cylinder.

The r1 and r6 is the best. They are 16mm brembo's. The gsxr's are 3/4 (18mm) Nissen's. I,ve had both and the yamaha ones are the strongest...

Re: best master cylinder.

Just replaced my 04/05 GSXR radial master with a Brembo 16x18:YEAH

Havent been able to ride it yet but I can tell just by playing with it on the stand it has more feel to it then the GSXR one, and it locks up very easy but has alot of feel....My friend has a 19x20 brembo and its just rock hard, very on/off and no feel to it at all...
