Re: Tail lifter

that might make it more stuntable, I don't know if its me, but bikes built with higher seat/subframes seem easier to stunt and circle. It wouldnt surprise me if this helped a lot. The only reason I can think of, is that it puts you closer to a Foot in Bar position, which is easier.. Im talking outta my *** though.

Re: Tail lifter

Put 2 - 3 large washers on the top of the shock mount !!
and or drop your forks a little in the tripple.
Go with the washers or shimms.

don't change it too much

Re: Tail lifter

No for my gixxer 1,000. 2 friends of mine race the same bike in WERA and AMA. They did my suspention set up and fork internals they set it up that way for me same as thier bikes just for my weight and it's butter !! It raised the tail, but that wasn't the sole purpose !! It was to make it steer quicker and take some weight off the rear under hard braking. Least that's what i was told and i love the way it handles now (day and night)

Just something that worked for me. I wouldn't have raised the tail if it wasn't for asking for help with my suspention for the track days i had set up ?????

I would never do it without some serious testing.

Re: Tail lifter

yep it raises the tail. most sportbikes have possibility to add spacer to the top shock mount to raise the rear.

I have always been thinking that stuntbike would benefit from this, as the rear is higher and engine is little higher compared to the rear axl. this should make it easier to wheelie, easier to endo and also balance point should be lower.(as the driver is sitting higher compared to the rear axl, also the weight at balance point is distributed so that the front is lower when the tail has been raised.)

Re: Tail lifter

i dont get what the point of a raised tail is.
seems like it would make it uncomfortable, like the 600rr's passenger pegs
