03 r6 oil in the air box
Re: 03 r6 oil in the air box
try running a little heavier weight oil, something other than fullsynthetic, and/or not overfilling as much as you are, if you are...
also keep your revs down. It's from the crank spinning like mad in the oil and making it froth up like a capuccino, and the froth gets sucked out of the crankcase vac line into the airbox.

That would be the crankcase vent hose... And I have mine disconnected from the airbox and run up to the steering neck area with a filter on the end of it. The airbox is plugged. Only time I have had a problem was doing really high stuff with sustained high rpms. When it's ran to the airbox it's almost horizontal when in a very high wheelie. Really easy for oil to get in the airbox and even cause it to lock up. I did come to find out mine was about 3/4 a quart overfilled then too so prolly the problem with it. Since then no more oil out my vent hose. But trust me better to spray you and the outside of the bike than the inside of the airbox. Oh or you could buy a honda they don't have these problems.

drill a hole in the valve cover and vent the motor there. block the other one off and the back of the motor. fun the line from the valve cover to the front of the bike behind the gauges with a small filter on it.
