swingarm bent

Just wondering if a slightly bent swingarm could cause your wheelie to drift to left or right.

Re: swingarm bent

i guess if one side is bent in then it would make that side slightly shorter than the other which would make your wheel ****ed to one side then youll go to one side

Re: swingarm bent

I bought a wrecked bike too, swingarm was noticeably bent, stand back and look at it while someone holds the bike vertically and the top of the rear wheel leans noticeably to the right, kind of looks like it's pointing or turning to the right also. I went out to a lot and tried it, every single time I tried to pull it up I would have to immediately let it back down because the bike would fall to the left. I noticed after several attempts the trend of left side off balance. Once I noticed it I tried to compensate and lean to the right, I still couldn't do it. Didn't even pull up a single wheelie all day, left, left, left. So anyway I pulled the swingarm and put it on measuring blocks and found the left leg sits .434" higher (bent up) that the right leg. I'm curious to know how much bent-ness makes noticeable difference. I don't know if or how much my swingarm may be bent sideways.
