Stupid Question lol....
Stupid Question lol....
Hey guys, I have a question that might sound kinda stupid... I'm just learning stand up wheelies and wanna start trying them on the back pegs or staggered...
my question is whether or not it is possible for the back pegs to fold on you while using them in a wheelie??? Ive seen the solid rear pegs for stunting... but should i be worried about my stock rear pegs folding?? lol
thanks guys!

Re: Stupid Question lol....
only time mine have ever folded up, when i hit the 12 bar, and go to lean forward, it will fold up, but i have to be on the bar and have just the right foot angle tomake it happeen, so it's not very offen, but thats my bike, yours may be diffrent
Re: Stupid Question lol....
Staggard only. Keep your right foot for the brake, PLEASE.
And An OMR subcage will solve your issue, they are rotated on axis so they dont fold in a wheelie.
Im cheap so I used a ziptie and a little duct tape

Re: Stupid Question lol....
yes they can and will fold up on you if you have poor positioning, which most new riders have. when ppl first start rocking staggered wheelies they tend to lean over the front of the bike which puts the foot at an angle that sorta sweeps the rear peg backwards, and if you dont have an omr subcage or a solid peg subcage, the peg will want to fold back. some bikes are worst than others. you can easily remedy the situation by just leaning back, keeping your left leg straight and your hips/chest away from the bike.
Re: Stupid Question lol....
I got a really easy solution for this that I've done for years - get a right side peg (the one with the exhuast mount on it) and cut the mount off and install it on the left side. the peg now can only fold up not down - there's no change in position for the peg either and the bolt patterns are the same - the cool part is that there is usually a lot of the right side pegs floating around on ebay and stuff because most people break the left side - AND if you've ever done like i have and started a seat stander circle and tried to go to ralf louis without the peg folded down.... you can simply push it down with your foot because it folds the other way now..... instead of slipping off and hi siding your bike into your own trailer.

Re: Stupid Question lol....
no i dont man. I think the confusion here is that you have to use the whole bracket and peg together. Just simply take the right peg and bracket (as a whole) and and put it on the left side.... everything is gonna be the same. keep the peg down and facing out - just pretend you dont know its a right peg. the only difference will be that the peg now fold towards the handle bars instead of toward the tail. Its works great on f4i's, but some bikes may have a bracket that is angled back which may not work. With f4is the only thing you have to do is cut the mounting point for your exhaust off of the bracket cause it'll be in the way. I'll try to find pics I guess.
