using your hips with stoppies?

i have heard that using your hips to steer the bike in a stoppie is supposed to help and make it alot easier. e.g: spinning a 180 at the end. i cant seem to get my head round this. any tips on how i use my hips for this? thanx in advance

Re: using your hips with stoppies?

its not really your hips. it starts with your arms and transfers to your hips.

keep your elbows up and push downward on the bar that the back of the bike is going around to. if the back is swinging left push on left clipon. if you drop your elbows the steering will turn you dont want that its more of a pusing down on the clipon that force travels up your arm and into your body and then into your hips catching the bike and keeping it from swinging around.
