Protecting my f4i
Protecting my f4i
I want to get into slow **** but i want to be able to have all my plastics in great shape. Will a cage from mxd or similar company do all the protecting i need? It still looks like i could **** up my upper or tail
Re: Protecting my f4i
if you want to get into stunting the first thing you gotta do is kno that you will fu(k up your bike, a cage will help but isnt full proof. if your really worried about it you should street fighter it and put the plastics on later when you get better.

Alright well it looks like im going to get a cage and a cheap fairing set to have on the bike till i get alot better. I figured im going to slam it down a couple times before i get consistent at bringing them up
Re: Protecting my f4i
if you cant even bring it up consistently yet, get a fiddy and learn your basics. then worry about the "slow ****" haha.
however, i do recommend mxd cages to help give your engine cases and footpegs some additional protection.

Yeah basically, if you play with fire you're gonna get burnt... mint plastics wont stay mint for long.. BUT just because you're learning doesn't mean you're gonna *** ya bike up..
my f4i is in pretty good shape and I only started stunting 4 months ago... can do slow wheelies and scrape licence plate etc now as well as a few other tricks... and the ONLY damage that I've personally given the bike is a scuff on the left side of seat unit where by boot rubs against the seat...! i scuffed the old front fairing sligthly but its been changed... there is other scuffs on my fairings but they were already on it when I bought it!!
Basically... if you take baby steps with practice and keep it smooth you're less likely to fall off
doesnt mean you take loads longer to learn if you practice lots though...
You WILL fall off.. a cage will protect the engine, often the fairing too..but not always...
I've got a Freestyle ingenuity cage and so far it's been great, BUT I have only dropped it from low speed like skidding 180* and bikes stalled and fallen over ive never flipped a wheelie so can't say what it'd be like for that.... so far its good though.

Re: Protecting my f4i
Best thing you can do is like everyone else said.. strip that **** of its identity, reinforce anything you don't want to break. Practice until you think you're doing pretty good, then practice MORE!!! After that if you decided to put your plastics back on you could, but mike is 100% correct... you WILL drop your bike again. I highly suggest getting a bulky cage like an MXD or 905 and putting a lot of Delrin on the ends. Put swingarm Delrin sliders to protect your subframe and up front put some long a$$ bar ends. This will help a TON but still won't guarantee your bike won't flip onto the top!!!

Re: Protecting my f4i
Alright so when i get my new bike what should i do to set it up? Take off upper and sides and get a cage and 12 bar? Probably going to either get a 250 4 stroke and a car or just go ahead and get a stunt F4i.
