What Would You Do 2 a 929?
Alright people after months of waiting i finally got my 929 Erion. Thankfully no more playin on the RC, i have a bike i won't cry if it falls. This bike is going to be Strictly 4 Stuntin. I want to get some knowledge and help me prep my bike. ideas,Opinions, How 2's,etc, OK.. Here's my route. I love stoppies and coasters. I am gonna work on 12's/bar tricks/ Slow(non-cirlcles at first) stuff/ no'handers. i have brake and throttle control on lock so i already have the FI 12 bar i bought for $40, i'll be running 15/56 gearing, cut the levers and so far i'll probably build my own cage when i borrow a welder(stick/not mig) those are the only for sure mods... I was thinking bout reinforcing the subframe with 1/4" thick bar how PatrickStephens(peg to rearset). Shorty Exhaust. to knock out that tip-over i just jump the outside wires right? JB or Plastic weld the fairing stay? Oh yeah, i want to keep it fully faired for a least right now, streetfighter eventually. Now i'm not a baller so the best bang for the mods will be the best. Thanks i'll appreciate any/all inputs. Peace

its a 929. if i owned that thing it would be like that, add a damper, stock geared, possibly cage it, dent the tank, throw an undertail bar on it, and call it good. To me, theres no point in having a 929 for the lot. If i set one up for the lot, i would keep it stock geared, throw a cage on it, a round bar and a damper and a handbrake. Theres no real mods you need to do to em. The outer wires are the ones to jump, and theres no real need to reiforce the subframe. they are pretty strong stock.....
Re: What Would You Do 2 a 929?
I'd invest in the 905 racing subframe supports for 60 bucks. I've been through 3 929 subframes. 2 of the subframes started cracking from the top down during foot/feet in the bar stuff. Use lock washers and lock-tite to help keep it from loosening up.

Keep a watch on the subframe mount, they tend to get hairline cracks in them really easy. The subframe supports are nice to have on a 929.Been through a couple myself.Nice gear size.Never go to big. A lot of power is hard for the slow stuff and circles. Less is more.

15/52 is the biggest I'd go on that bike... you'll get it down to a crawl AND still be able to hang w/ your buddies on the street.
As said... lotta power in that for a lot bike...
Personally... if I got another (been through 2), I'd go w/ 15/48 or a 15/50.
And if your not streetfightering the bike, don't even bother w/ the tip sensor... I left mine on both 954's I had and they'd 12/coast/run on the bar w/ no problems, EVER.
Nice thing about leavin it on, is when you learnin slow stuff and your droppin the bike left and right, it wont take off on the ground and run you over when it comes back around and your not lookin.

Here u go! Drill, grinder, and other hand tools... Who ever said that people who work at home depot don't know anything. The measurments i got from the center of each hole ended up being about 14 1/8 inches. What do u guys think? Will it pass with at least a C? Not bad 4 $10 huh. Another question, in this pic(left center) that ****, is that where i would adjust the idle, if not how do i get an idle adjuster. what is preferred range, i go aroun 2500 on the RC. i guess i might just have 2 do trial and error.

Looks good. and yeah thats the idle adjustment. The highest you can go on the 929 is around 2400rpm's. If you go any higher the idle won't stay true
