Balancing Point is WHERE???
Balancing Point is WHERE???
ok here is the deal, I can do roll on wheelies in first and run them till the rpms go, and i can do clutch ups in second and roll them till the rpms go away also, I've just tried to start finding or even trying to get it close to the bp but i think I am going past it, i had my boy watch me and he showed me that i was about 11 oclock how can you tell when your there, and is the bp harder or smaller on a heavier bike, I bought a 93 vfr 750 to turn into a trick bike is this to heavy??? Please help, I read all the other post and none seem to help me know where I am at, I prolly need to find a stunter close and ride with him for a while huh
Re: Balancing Point is WHERE???
from what I ve heard it is different for every bike and it is a feeling of weightlessness no brake input ,no throttle in put is needed to keep it up I havent got there but I hope too. Some sya the bike feels like its soming back on you
Re: Balancing Point is WHERE???
step 1 buy new bike
step 2 find someone that knows BP
the bike is possable it is just going to beharder to learn on. past bp is where you can slow the whoolie down with the brake. you are going to have to go past it first and slow the bike down before you are going to know where it is at

Re: Balancing Point is WHERE???
Go in your living room...stand on a rug, have a big burly man grab the rug and pull it out from under you. The feeling of being absolutely free and floating is what it feels like....and then the feeling of you hitting your back flat on the ground is what it feels like to loop it....then have the big burly man fall on you and that is what it feels like when the big comes backwards on you.
Out of all of this....take baby steps, please please learn them slow, and consicously check your rear brake before you do a wheelie, and do this everytime. It will get you in the habit of knowing that it will only save you, and when you do "actually go past the BP" you will use it to bring it back down.
Hope this brings laughter, and knowledge to everyone that doesn't already know!

Re: Balancing Point is WHERE???
Thanks, now all I have to do is find the Big Burly and have it stop raining, That was some great advice guys I appreciate it. I'll keep trying safely and see how it goes, i don't think it will take long though, I have been riden bikes for about 3 mon, the 750 for about a month learnd the roll on wheelie in a morning of playing around, and the clutch in an after noon and beeing able to ride them out after the second bring up, hopefully i get good enough to buy a new bike since i have a feeling this one will be trashed
Re: Balancing Point is WHERE???
Do you have any pics of your wheelies to post up? Balance point is where you don't need to increase your speed or use the brake to keep the wheelie going. if your riding each gear out then your most likely below the balance point and need to go higher. It will probably feel akward at first but take it slow and you'll get it, just keep practicing
