new or old?

Well my bike should be sold here pretty soon...

But i cant decide between a 01-02 636 or a 03+ 636...I cant stunt now so i would be learning the basics...I still want something that looks somewhat nice to roll around on but i also dont want to cry when it gets dropped...

I was also thinking of an F4i but they feel uncomfortable as hell and dont look as good...so do i spend a little less and get an older zx6-r or fork over the cash and get an 03+?

Any input is appreciated...

Re: new or old?

If you don't like the F4i's, the next best alternative is definitely a 636. Those bikes are rock solid, lots of low end torque and easy to get on and learn on. But get a CAGE, that should be the first thing you buy is a cage. The crank flywheel takes a unique tool to get it off that only Kawasaki makes, and my friend ZackieChan had to wait like 2 weeks to get this tool so he could take off his flywheel b/c he bent it when he crashed one night out at our spot. And I heard this tool wasn't exactly cheap either!!! So trust me, get a cage ASAP!!!

Between a ZX6R and 636, just fork over the cash and get yourself the 636. You'll love the injected bike much more, and the 636 is revamped and feels 1000 times better than the ZX6R!!! I highly suggest taking off all your plastics though while you learn in the beginning... for some reason the 636 plastics seem much more expensive than F4i and 929/954 plastics. Thats just from my experience, but they could be cheaper now?!?!?

Good luck....
