Re: 636 Front Foot Peg Bracket????

I made these last season after breaking 4 OEM's in 2 days, used some scrap aluminum plate. I only had 1/4 plate so I doubled up each side, they didnt even so much as bend once for the rest of the year!

Do it! You should run a bunch, if you do them simple like that you can sell them for like $100 a set..

I CNC'd those on my router its basically a huge mill for wood with a 6'x12' table. I just rushed them though wrote the program in 1/2 an hour and didnt make a jig just clamped them to my table. It was a nice Sunday and I was stuck with 2 broken rearsets so I made do with what I had, couldnt even buy anything on a Sun.

but I did do them right I pocketed the rearset for the peg brackets so they dont rotate and I pocketed the bolt holes, heel guard is from an old bike I crashed years ago..

For alot of bikes rearsets that strong would be a bad thing, on the Kawi 636 the mounting tabs dont hang off the frame making them very strong. On bikes like GSXR's the mounting tabs hang off the frame and could easliy bend or even break off with such a strong rearset.

You want the reaset to be stronger than stock but not stronger than its mounting tabs.......

Re: 636 Front Foot Peg Bracket????

I've got access to a CNC machine with a plasma torch and I have ran up all sorts of stuff with auto cad. I have made countless heel guards and wierd ****. That is deff the best way to go if you can
