Getting smoother on the brake

So I can rock standups slow from a dead stop and sitdowns but Im still having a hard time just using the brake to keep the bike at bp. I find myself having to correct with the throttle but then sometimes I get so slow that the bike wants to die on me. I have an f4i with the idle up just don't know how high cuz of no gauges. Foot in seat helps me make it smoother but is there any other advise? I should be able to just use brake and idle right or is my idle too low? I'd say its around 2500-3k.

Your having a hard time riding idle wheelies?? Yeah, your idle might help between 3.5-4k rpm. Try to be smooth as possible with the brake. Sounds like your getting there just keep at it.

yep bump the idle up around 3500 or so. just so u need to get on the brake to keep from tappin. keep practicing and messin w/ idle and you'll get it.

Re: Getting smoother on the brake

3k rpms should be enough. just snap it up quick and lay off the throttle right away. this will help you find that sweet spot with just idle. It'll take a few tries but with practice you'll be able to snap it up quick and just use your brake to carry you.
