Round Bar preferences..

I am just curious... With the round bars... Would you prefer the bar to be tucked right inside the tail section, or sticking past the tail section? With it inside the tail section, the tip of the tail will wear down 1st before you hit the bar. This is a much cleaner look. From the side of the bike, you wouldnt be able to even see it. I have heard several people mention that they prefer them this way instead of sticking out past the tail. That and is running a taillight with it that big of a concern? Please post your opinions..

Definetly inside the tail... I had to cut 2 inches off of my 905 so it would fit correctly.

Who wants to buy a bar and have to cut and weld it

Agreed... I just know there are alot of people out there that are more concerned with not altering their bikes (cutting plastic, drilling subframe holes)instead of having a product that actually works the way its suppose to.

Anymore opinions?

I agree with having it inside the tail. you can figure out a way to run some kind of light back there. I don't have the last 5 inches of plastic on my bike and you can't really tell that there's a bar there (to the nonstunting people) unless you look.

Re: Round Bar preferences..

DEFINATELY need to keep the taillight! gotta rock the streets!

We just built one for the 636 that is outside the tail, but hugs the contor of the tail nice, looks really clean, most people dont even notice it... ill try to get pics up after the weekend

i would like to see one INSIDE a 636 tail, cause it's going to be hard to make that cause the tail comes to such a point that it will be hard to get one in there... if you do, you will need to scrape away at least an inch of tail to get to the bar!...

Re: Round Bar preferences..

I want one inside the tail too, don't mind if the tail itself gets scuffed a bit but they look more stock which is better... I thought that was the point of the round bars anyway.... and definetly need to keep the rear light somehow.... easier to fit the better, but can't have everything

I want one soon ..

Ive built one inside the tail on an 05 gsxr 750 and its super clean. No cutting of the tail section or undertail. Cant run factory taillight though. I have a flat plate on the bar where the round bar welds to that would be perfect for an small LED. You cant even tell the bar is there at all.
