second gear wheelies
second gear wheelies
just recently started trying to do second gear wheelies after getting first down good. Ive tried the same method as clutching up first but all i get is the springs to unload in the front a bit and thats it. The method im using is get going around 35-40 bring the clutch in a bit rev the let the clutch out ive gotten the revs up around 8-9 grand with nothing happening. The bike is a stock 02 f4i if you can help out please do.
Re: second gear wheelies
i wouldnt say f4i's are weak...... you could bring up a highchair in second if you weighed over 200lbs no problem... its all about finesse
and DONT hold the clutch in til it hits the limiter then drop it... i hope that guy was jokin when he said that

Re: second gear wheelies
^^ +1 ya you shouldnt need to rev it up nearly that high, just a lil blip with a good bounce and the front end should be skyward. Its all in the timing of your bounce and clutch release. Are you standing up or sittin down?? i would suggest standin up in stagger position if you feel comfortable with it ... my

Re: second gear wheelies
+1 that's how I have been learning them, was doing the same thing you are for a while. Increase your revs when the clutch is in a little more each time and it will come up. . .move your *** all the way back as well, once you get it it get easier and easier to do.
