my number is 951-212-7400 i have that phone on me pretty much at all times now. if you dont have a paypal account, you should sign up for one. its easy, you can use the same credit card you planned on using anyways. or you can email nate@sicriders.com he can take your payment. get the street cage, i swear by it. nate will tell you the same thing. he is sponsored by me & would rather have that than the stunt cage. way cheaper. if you wreck on one side, you can replace a single side of the cage instead of spending another 280 for a stunt cage.

rods blow all the time on those bikes, but i think it has alot to do with the rider too. rev too high & it cant take it.

for the oil pick....easy as hell to install. take off the headers, then oil pan. then you will see a black oblong looking thing. thats the stock pick up. remove the 2 bolts, then put the new pick up on. replace all gaskets & rings & put your oil pan, headers back on. youre done. shouldnt take more than 1 hr by yourself, & thats if you are having a hard time. if you are a decent mechanic, 30 mins. tops.

thats the funny thing about it.......he was told to run a tank of gas "to break everything in" so he was babying it pretty well and doubt he ever got above 5000 rpm....before that he did rev it high a few times and beat on it pretty good for about a month before it blew up...........then nearly 8 months to get all the parts and get everything together....now its blown 3 days after he brings it home, with less than 20-30 minutes tops on the rebuilt motor!!!!

you can help the gizzer out though......oil pickup, cage, bar, reinforce the subframe, and have plenty of spare parts laying around anyways.......rearsets, pegs, clip-ons, levers...standard stuff that would break on any bike really

you can run a steel strap from the passenger peg bolts to the rearset, also might not be a bad idea to have someone weld some cross bracing too.....the subframes have a tendency to also break right where they bolt to the frame....not a bad idea to weld some extra aluminum around the terminal ends of the subframe where it bolts to the frame.....maybe use a solid peice cut to barely fit between the top and bottom subframe rails and make it look like one solid peice

we had a homebuilt bar on it.....snapped the ends of the subframe where it bolts to the frame, and currently the left side sits about 1-2 inches taller than the left side of the bar......starting to give up hope on this subframe..........funny thing is, I know more about working on my boys 2000 750 than I do on my 600RR......but then again, I've worked on the 750 more than my own bike

you need to put a plate on the front mounts. it will break right near the neck of the frame.

for the subframe, havent really seen too many fixes for that. i would think that having a plate welded to the subframe itself would fix that, but then the tabs will break on the frame. you might want to have a 1/2' think flat bar welded behind the tabs to strengthen that up.
