Sport shooting

Hi all. I saw a documentary on the telly some time ago about a sport where you basically go through an obstacle course shooting targets on the way. Can't remember the name, but can anyone tell me what I need to take part (apart from the obvious?). Are the guns used normal handguns, or modified sports guns?

there's many classes starting from very stock guns to highly modified formula guns.

Re: Sport shooting

Theres also IDPA which is International Defensive Pistol Association. It simulates self-defense scenarios, a little more realistic to what you might find out on the street or home.
