In your other thread you said it wasn't accurate at all. I call bullshit on 800 yards.

It is a used gun and who knows how many rounds went through this thing? Is there a way i can tell if i need a new barrel? i can get a match grade for around $600 but i dont know if the rifle is worth that barrel? Thanks man.

Did you make that shot standing up too? or is that extra "0" on there by accident?

Also for accuracy problems, check your ammo before anything else... try many different brands, each gun shoots different ammo differently.

+1

Not only is every make and model different but every gun can be different, shooting better or worse with different brands and loads of ammo. See if you can get some good handloads as they are probably the best for accuracy.

Re: Fn Fal 308 cal

Being that the Fal is on of the longest battle rifles out, close in size of the HK G3 it isnt an ideal weapon for "tactical" use. With such a long barrel, and large round(7.62 Nato) it's not an ideal weapon for clearing a building.

The broom handle thing, is called a FVG or Vertical Forward Grip.

Although the Federal Assault weapon ban expired in 2004, New York state and California codified their own into law. Thus, being that you are in New York; your weapon is required to have been manufactured before 1994 to attach a folding or collapsable stock/have a threaded barrel to accept flash hiders or muzzle breaks/ bayonet mounts.

If you add any of those items to a rifle manufactured after 1994 inside of New York state, it is a felony. You can thank your Chuck Schumer for that. Here in FL, none of those things are illegal.

Anyways, www.dsarms.com builds STG58's which is a FAL rifle. They have all the parts- although expensive- you are looking for. But again, legally you can't do anything more than add a VFG and piccany front rail system.

Hope this helps.
