is she trying to carry it on her??? or home protection??? when it comes to home protection, nothing beats a shotgun in my opinion. based on the fact that 1. most intruders enter at night when its dark so you really cant see, which is where the spray from the shotgun comes in handy, 2. depending on what type of ammo you use the wall penetration is minimal and 3. i have never heard of a shotgun jamming.

i dont doubt the truth of that either. and id bet there are plenty of men who have their own weapons turned on them everydayas well
. my point is, dont give her a gun unless she is 100%, totally positive, and fully prepared to pull the trigger if needed. cuz if you dont pull, the other person will

Go to www.sickshooter.com ,we have some nice 9mm glocks chrome or black finish . Well there actually footpegs but they look so real ,and there alot safer ..

as the title says, she wants a handgun. she has about 300 dollars to spend on one. she wants a pistol, so she can easily reload it, and fire at least 5 shots in a row. she wants pretty much a gun that will show a robber that she means business. i was thinking a 9mm.

My girl carrys a s&w "ladys" handle 38 5 shot fits anywhere..I shaved the hammer down and she really likes it a lot no mistakes pull the trigger and bang real easy I notice a lot of chicks get all screwwwed up w/ semis!Sometimes I carry it on my ankle for a just in case gun you no in case they enimie doesn't have a gun .....please forgive spelling and grammer its 430 in the morn!

$300 doesnt leave alot of room for a good 9mm, even used, that budget limits the choices. Honestly I'd half to recommend a Smith and Wesson or Taurus revolver chambered in .38. Its simple to use and ultra reliable. This gun was mention to be used in a self-defense situation and a snub nose .38 fits the bill perfectly. I'm sure she would/will be scared shitless if she had to draw down on someone. The last thing she needs to be worried about is taking the safety off. Thats why I'd grab for my XD9 before I grab for my Kimber which is kept in condition 1. Tell her not to worry about fast reloads but to hit her target. 5-6 shots of +p+ 38 will deter any advancing threat if she places them correctly.
